Are you up for the coastal quad challenge? This will be fun and ferocious racing along Shady Beach.  Racing will be a series of 500 meter sprints, raced in a bracket format. Each team will race at least a couple times, with winning crews advancing through numerous races until the fastest crew of the day emerges.

If you have never done coastal rowing, this event is a great way to try out this exciting aspect of our sport. We supply the boats, so jump in and check it out.

Never rowed before? No problem! We will have a novice bracket, and also a learn to row opportunity. Check out the options:

New Rowers No experience necessary for the quad challenge. Each novice participant will receive an instructional row from expert coaches. Rowing workshops will take place on Friday afternoon  and Saturday morning.  This is an awesome opportunity to learn a new sport and to get right into racing. Novice teams will race other novice teams, so get ready for close competition. Each  crew will be lead by an experienced coxswain (boat steerer), so your only concern is getting your blades in the water and pulling hard!

Experienced Rowers Experienced rowers will find this a fast paced, challenging, and exhilarating race format. We will bang out 500 after 500, right along the beach for perfect racing and viewing experience, until the toughest and fastest team emerges. Rowers are invited to a special presentation on Saturday morning about coastal rowing, to fast track your handling of these international class coastal racing boats. Total fun. A sneak peak at your next favorite way to row.
